Why OpenTruck exists
Finding a food truck
should be simpler.
Good food moves. The information people need to find it should be easier to keep up with.

A practical problem
A location changes.
A post gets buried.
A customer misses out.
A food truck can be exactly what someone is looking for and still be hard to find. A schedule is on one social page. The menu is on another. By the time a customer finds the details, the truck may have moved.
OpenTruck brings locations, schedules, menus, and updates together. Customers have a clearer way to find local trucks. Vendors have a way to reach people who might not know them yet.
Started here
Local food.
Real people.
Both sides of the window.
OpenTruck started in Semmes, Alabama. We’re building around the everyday moments that keep local food going: someone trying a truck for the first time, a regular finding a favorite at a new stop, and a vendor letting people know the window is open.
We want those connections to be easier. That means useful information, honest expectations, and tools that respect the people using them.

How we show up
Clear information.
Room to keep improving.
We don’t list every truck or promise that plans won’t change. We’re here to make it easier to find the information and stay connected.
Keep it useful.
Where is the truck? When is it serving? What’s on the menu? Start with the questions people came to answer.
Say what’s available.
Be clear when ordering depends on the truck, a location changes, or a feature has limits. Trust comes from getting the details right.
Listen to both sides.
Customers and vendors need different things from OpenTruck. Better tools begin with paying attention to both.
